50 episodes, whoda thunk it? Lars Behrenroth is finally delivering his long expected solo outing on his own label Deeper Shades Recordings

After nine successful releases it seems there are still new grounds to be covered on Lars Behrenroth’s label Deeper Shades Recordings. The label head personally chose to take care of the situation and is now offering his first solo EP on his own label.

Four tracks, barely representing Lars Behrenroth’s versatility, are molding a complete package; even though different in styles, reminiscent in sound and quality.

The Way You Move features a vocal lick by singer Chezere and brings you back into the early to mid 90′s when house music made you dance with simple and happy chords plus a synth flute sound which will catch the attention of old school house fans.

Dissever shows Lars’ love of slow buildups and minimal but effective developments in arrangements. A dub groove begging to be played loud early mornings (if you can’t drop this kinda stuff peak hour that is.

Dare Degree is a percussion loaded track with a heavy bassline and a very warm, organic feel. This has been one of Lars Behrenroth’s secret weapons for many years and finally sees the light as part of this release. Already featured by Aaron Ross on his In The House Radio Show.

Are You Sure? is a moody midtempo deep house groove which has already been compiled by Italian Deep House gurus Harley & Muscle but is only now available.

1. How did you get into music?
(DJ TATTOO)-I LOVED MUSIC SO MUCH THAT MY GRANMOTHER BROUGHT ME MY VERY FIRST DJ SET FOR MY 15TH BIRHDAY….

(DJ TATTOO) – I’M HISPANIC,SO IT WAS SALSA CLASSICS AND DISCO…THE BEST OF BOTH

3. Fondest memory as a DJ
(DJ TATTOO) – EVERY MOMENT I PLAYED ANY WHERE ANY TIME WILL ALWAY’S BE MY FONDEST MEMORY…

4. What got you into production from DJing? What was the transition like?
(DJ TATTOO) – IN THE YEAR 2000. I MADE MY MOVE INTO PRODUCTION…WELL IT WAS JUST EXPERIMENTING WITH SOUND AND JUST BEING CREATIVE..I WAS VERY PERSONAL WITH MUSIC INVENTIONS
ANYWAY I’M CONTENT WITH MY WORK AND THE EFFORT I PUT INTO IT TILL THIS DAY….

5. As producer, what draws you to remix a song? What does a song have to have to make you say, yeah that is the one?
(DJ TATTOO)-IT CAN BE ANYTHING THAT COMES TO MY EAR OR I’LL SLEEP THEN WAKE UP….BAM!!!! THERE IT IS A SWEET TATTOO EDIT…IT’S JUST A GIFT. I THANK MY LORD JESUS CHRIST AND ALMIGHTY GOD FOR THAT…

6. Obviously the advent of technology is a blessing and a curse, how technology helped and hurt you?
(DJ TATTOO)-I’M NOT TO MUCH OF A TECHNOLOGY DJ/PRODUCER….I’M VERY OLD SCHOOL WHEN IT COMES TO MY EDITS/REMIX/MASHUPS..ETC..I’M STILL BLESS WITHOUT TECNOLOGY..IT ALSO HURTS ME TO SEE AND HEAR OTHER GRIMY DJ/REMIXERS(NO NAMES)TAKING CREDIT OF TATTOO TRACKS AND PUTTING THERE DJ TAGS ALL OVER IT…EVEN MAKING MONEY OFF IT…IT’S REALLY A DIRTY GAME IN THIS HOUSE MUSIC UNIVERSE.

7. What is your take on music now?
(DJ TATTOO)-IT’S EVOLVING FAST INTO THIS DEEP HOUSE TECH…ACTULLY I FIND THAT THERE IS NO SOULFUL VOCALS IN THIS DEEP TECH MUSIC,NOTHING SOULFUL AT ALL…WE NEED MORE DEEP SOULFUL VOCALS BEING PUT OUT AND KEEP IT GOING…CAUSE WITHOUT WORDS ,TO ME IT’S JUST MEANINGLESS

8. What can we expect to hear from you in the future?
